Not sure the 3 field umpires should have a 30 minute conversation with a Coach on the field before a game.
A disgraceful occurrence.
I would have thought the the 3 Umpires and Wardman brought the game into disrepute. 
As it turned out the Dees kicked their own goals.

So DF what were they talking about? Given Wardman was an umpire in a past life he probably knew the umps and was having a catch up. Do you know any different?
Obviously had little effect as in a game that was pretty close for most of the night, the frees were dead set even 17 each.

Maybe just concentrate on your teams terrific performance and how they did young Dakota proud.

This is a pretty silly thread to be honest and not sure why I'm even commenting. Notwithstanding that, Wardman can take them all out on the piss and put on dancing girls at midnight if he wants to. Who cares as it makes no difference on the way they umpire. Statistically, Subi over a long period of time have received the least amount of free kicks of any club which I think is a throw back to when they were so dominant and an unconscious bias against them by the umps.

Case in point was the 2016 GF where Subi were dudded 6 frees to Peel 19 with only 2 frees after qtr time in a game where the WAFC clearly wanted a particular result and did everything in its power to make sure it happened including letting 17 Freo players take part.

I don't think you have much to whinge about DF as you won the game yesterday with a dead even free kick count and fair enough too as you were the better side on the day...what more do you want?

Perth Supporters - The umps don't hate us. The umps do their best.

Support your team by not abusing the umps. Abusing the umps does us no favours.

By all means give a call of Fair go ump etc - but leave it there.

Hardly a silly thread, just calling out the integrity of umpires or the lack of it.
Okay there was no stopwatch on it but it was prolonged maybe 15 or 20 minutes.
It started with one umpire and in the end all 3 were talking to Wardman.
As an adjudicating official an umpire has a responsibility to remain unbiased.
There is no possible reason for an umpire to interact with a club official let alone in that manner.
Therefore, the integrity of that impartiality must be questioned.
Regardless of whether Wardman is an ex-umpire. I would have thought that would bring even more reason to steer clear from that situation.
As an ex-umpire my advice to modern umpires is to remain less visible and then toughen up. A bit of criticism didn't hurt anybody.
In the end the DEES were too good anyway

What evidence do you have to suggests that the conversation the umpires had with Wardman pre-match led to a biased umpiring performance that favoured Subiaco? 

It’s pretty common practice for umpires and coaches to talk pre-game, usually in the changerooms, so I don’t understand what your issue is? Or do Perth supporters just always need something to whinge about and given you got good talent coming through your district, have recruited well and had a win, you couldn’t moan about your usual subjects? 

Enjoy the win and move on…who knows you might start the season 2-0

There's no conspiracy. Coaches are allowed to talk to umpires.
