Peel copped a fast start from the Sharks but weathered the storm by the end of the first Q. Similar again in the 2nd- and the trend of Peel finishing the quarters strong with their fitness advantage loomed over the rest of the game. But I think it was clear in the 3rd Q that the Thunder were tired and unlikely to over-run the Sharks.

Gee, Wagner was outstanding though.

This must be a record for traffic on a peel thread.

I especially enjoyed seeing the docker peel cohort run ragged in the last quarter by our boys.

all our players have pride in our jumper not sure if Mandurah can say the same.

Thought this would be the year we’d restore some integrity to the comp after last year’s embarrassment then South shit in the nest and you lot cheat as well! But I’m always gracious so congratulations to the Asterisks (*).

Only two flags with Asterisks next to them and we all know which two they are! LOL 

 

Good to see you up and about Big D. Your day started with a lot hope and expectation, sadly not to be, thus as you said,pretty disappointing for all concerned down Freo Thunder way.

Totally agree about restoring integrity, fingers crossed EF can improve their bookkeeping and more importantly Peel can return to being a stand-alone WAFL club and start winning asterisk free flags, instead of riding the arse off that golden goose known as the FFC, on and off the park.

Gotta love your selective memory BD, you love dribbling on about integrity and how other clubs have breached this or that, while conveniently forgetting the 3 times your club has been done for cap breaches.
Your club are cheats and will only ever win finals or flags on the back of at least half a team of full time professional footballers. Your mob failed this time with 11, you needed 15 and 17 to win the 2 flags you did win. Cant wait for the 10 year premiership re-unions for those flags, the real peel boys can hold it in a phone box.

I have gracefully acknowledged the Asterisks (*) grand final theft. They now join fellow Asterisk winners 2000-2002, 2004, 2006-2008, 2014-2015, 2018-2019, 2021 and 2022. Pretty illustrious company hey!

Not sure why BD has put an asterisk next to our 30th flag. Whatever the reason, would not have changed Peel (even loaded with so many currently listed AFL players) being so shit on GF day.

Credit to the Sharks though as they were very good. Certainly a valuable lesson that the Peel Docker cohort no doubt are  grateful.
