Well the season is not quite over yet with the Ressies still having a few important weeks ahead.Important not only so far as winning a premiership is concerned but also for the players futures and their progress to the league team.Firstly though good effort by the colts this season.Lots of under agers this year with a smattering of good players but nowhere near as strong as the last two seasons.Hope Odin Jones does well in the AFL Talent camp- a promising talent.The league side would be kicking themselves that they decided to start playing such good football so late.The killer for me was the round 11 loss to SD(who deserved to win) in Blackie’s 250th at home- lowlight of the season for me but as SS quoted some time ago if you make the finals you’re good enough (and we weren’t quite).
if my calculations are right( and happy to be corrected) of the22 who took the field in the last qualifying round of the season for WP reserves 11 played in the colts 2022 GF and there were a further 3 in the league side.There were also some other reserves boys who had been colts players in the last 2 or 3 seasons (Foley,Mallard,etc).The point is not only is the cauldron of a finals series good for development and a possible AFL rehearsal but it’s good for long term continuity for the league team.
Having said all that and without going too far sideways all the above comments would be a complete waste of time if the bright sparks at the WAFC(handled by their AFL puppetmasters) got their way and abandoned the reserves competition.Under the guise of saving a few pennies short term,they would destroy the very fabric of the WAFL competition.Simply put where would the guys I mentioned above be next year if in a few weeks time(say even after winning a premiership) we’re told - Sorry no competition next year.He mind boggles!

Can we do it again like 2019. Cooper Todd  and Tedesco starred. 

Winger depending on who finally gets picked there seems to be a good blend of veterans,some players who have had a few years in Ressies and a good crop of pretty talented youngsters - seems a pretty good mix.Finished top obviously but we did so last year as well and that didn’t finish well.They’re in with a good shot but the SD side seems to have virtually the same mix and the last encounter was a classic game.Here’s to hoping.

The Reserves are into the Grand Final against Swans. Going to be a great game this one. Good luck to both teams

Very true WAG should be a great game with both sides having some exciting up and coming players for future.Hope the weather stays fine for what should be a great footy spectacle.

the answer to that one is simple mate 
the Victorian recruiters do not like getting up early to watch potential draftees and have made application to have all under age matches at 11am 
an example is: that creep of a coach from North Melbourne Clarkson will be watching Daniel Curtin from Claremont right now
and of course that prize wanker from the WAFC Roberts just bent over as usual

Was an absolute heartstopper of a game today. Bad luck that someone had to lose it and Swans were lucky enough to have their noses in front at the end, but the West Perth boys were very brave to fight the game out till the very end.
