Agreed MM88 it was disgraceful and a blight on the game!
Just one main thing though.
From what we saw and the security's explanation to us of what happened, it was started by a small group of Mt Lawley spectators.
So what penalties should the PFL and Mt Lawley themselves apply to them?

Think your way off here Mightymagpie

I dont think you can blame the players for being attacked on field by spectators who ran on the ground and hit a player from behind.

and as for the Carlilse players running and jumping a fence 2 Carlisle spectators (not players) had a run in with these peanuts who ran onto the field on the way to their car, check with security they were waiting out the front of the gates to continue it on until the police were called. Carlisle Players and supporters ran to help and in the end nothing happened these peanuts jumped in their car and left.

My understanding is whilst they may have been their supporting Mt Lawley they may not actually be members of Mt Lawley so the club may not have had control of them nor would they have been anticipating anything that happened

Taken down the original post as youre right Alnan.

Disgrace to see it no matter the clubs involved just from a NM perspective from the one time we played them it wouldn’t of surprised me in the moment if it was CC who instigated.

That said I was watching from the other side of ground and only had just seen the fan running off with blood. Just a shocking look after a GF loss and win from that ML fans perspective.

If what you are saying is true that group of “fans” deserves a life ban.

Yes Mightymagpie it didnt look good but no spectator should ever be allowed to attack a player especially straight after the siren of a ground final loss, the player will not take it well.

Also confirm while the spectators involved were there supporting Mt Lawley or specific players they were not members of Mt Lawley footy club so again you cant blame Mt Lawley footy club for their actions either

Just peanuts who dont belong in community football who hopefully the PFL can follwo through and make sure they wont be
