Well it is the penultimate week of the season and we have some very exciting football games to bring to you and as per request perhaps MrM could preview all 3, but we shall see how we go later in this write up. But if you enjoy football then this is the weekend for you, and a B Grade Preliminary Final is about one of the biggest games on the Perth Football League Calendar. Despite having a balcony and changerooms approximately 274 meters from the playing surface, am sure the locals and the visitors will be making a noise.

Off the field and MrM (DrM less than a month…for all those at home) is sure that the masses have been made aware, that Wanneroo is now on the national stage featuring on the front of an Allen Lollies packet. In another off-field news, unfortunately MrM has once again been left of the guest list for the PFL Awards Night, and he could not be more shaken, a letter to the committee did little, but if you ask MrM his tip, it will be a ruckman to win. Either Yuke from the Ath (as no one stealing his votes) or the big haired mop from the Brumbies, and MrM is usually spot on, we shall not digress though because still some football to be played.

Let us look into this weekend

Wanneroo v Mount Lawley @MacDonald Reserve

You asked and MrM delivered a preview of all 3 games. Wanneroo had a loss last weekend to a red-hot Wembley side and will want to bounce back from the disappointment against a side that has had their measure in recent encounters. Meanwhile MrM hears Mount Lawley used some interesting tactics to get a win last weekend and will be interested to see if similar tactics are used as they have been in the past with the boys form Beaufort Street. I think Wanneroo will get it done though.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Wanneroo v Wembley @MacDonald Reserve

After a strong win the weekend before, Wanneroo ran into the tough Whitford side last weekend and will know that their best is good enough against Wembley, but don’t count out the Wombles, as they have come from just scraping in to finals, to a chance to go all the way. It is a battle of the Big V and I think Wanneroo will win.
Wanneroo by 3 goals

Whitford v Wanneroo @MacDonald Reserve

This is the big game and the one we have been waiting for. The North Padbury boys would have hoped for a better showing last weekend but have a chance to regroup this weekend and make sure they are ready to go. Wanneroo on the other hand had a strong win against Collegians and want that momentum to carry them through this weekend. This will be a tough spirited contest and MrM is going with what he knows.
Wanneroo by 2 goals

Good luck to all.

Another exciting week of footy ahead of us.

Colts Mt Law v Wanneroo, a close encounter is shaping up here in what should be a good game of Aussie Rules. Mt Law will have what it takes to win it just remains to be seen which side turns up. When going well the way they move the ball is very good. But when they dont get the run on it is not as good. Wanneroo will want a bit of redemption after losing last weeks game against Wembley. Are Wanneroo too confident like last years GF? Time will tell. Mt law by 4 points

Reserves Wanneroo v Wembley , Wanneroo got a bit of a touch up last week against a good side in Whitfords. Wembley dont have their top side playing which has helped them over the past weeks. This will be no different and Wembley to continue their dream run by 3 goals.

Whitford v Wanneroo League, A classic game shaping up here and both sides have played some decent football in the past few weeks and have had tight tough matches. Whitfords faded last week in a very physical game against Mt Law, will that effect them? Wanneroo have had to fight tooth and nail for several weeks now and have a couple of good midfielders. Whitfords need to watch midfielder number 12 as it has been mentioned previously. A tag would probably help. Same for Whitfords their midfielder number 8 and 10 need to be watched. In a tight one Whitfords to rebound at home by 3 goals and getting the A grade promotion.

Good luck to all

It’s a great time of year as we see the best sides battle for a chance at the GF and promotion. This weekend has some great matchups.

Whitfords and Wanneroo have had some good games this year and will know each other well. Whitfords were victors only two weeks ago but the Roos won both H&A games. Two very different results last week might just be the difference this week as I’m tipping Wanneroo to come out on top by 2 goals in a physical and tough match.

In the reserves, Wembley have gone further than most would have thought with the benefit of their league team not playing and picking up a few 1s qualifiers. They’re rolling along nicely but will tip Roos to have the overall edge here by 3 goals.

The colts match up is a nice rivalry as last years GFists play each other. The Roos lost it in the dying minute last week after looking the better side all day. I think they’ll do enough to win by 4 goals.

It was meant to be a reply to WCE1987 who didn’t tip Wanneroo in any of todays games.

Fair effort to have all 3 B Grade sides in the GF next week. Well done, very jealous.
