This is it Ladies and Gentlemen, the biggest show of them all the 2023 PFL A Grade Grand Final write up. MrM (DrM for you astute folk) has only done a few of these in his time, but this could be MrM last one indeed, for one does not know what the future holds.
On the field it has been a relatively close season and with 3 games on Saturday, you do not know which way the cards will fall. We do have some very good contests ahead of us, we will do a relatively shallow dive into them as we leave the deep dive stuff to the real experts.

Off the field, MrM has had a pleasure talking to himself each and every week on the commute into the city, and many thanks to MrM ICT gurus who have once again blocked the site at work. Thank you to those who came in and gave MrM a clip and then disappeared again, never to be heard from, we appreciate you too. MrM does hope everyone enjoys their offseason after this weekend and you never know which watering hole MrM will be at to share a drink over. Alright let us look at this weekend.

COLTS
Curtin University Wesley v West Coast

Well, the Curtin Uni gents have been the benchmark for most of the season and have some very good form heading into this game, having beaten West Coast a few weeks ago. However West Coast have some good momentum and if anything, are the shining light at the club in an otherwise dull season. Will be a very good game and one does expect it to be close one, a clash jumper needed for the West Coast gents perhaps. I think Curtin will be too good here, and if you’re a bartender at Curtin celebrations later that evening, look out for the Curtin Uni Coach…

RESERVES
North Beach v Trinity Aquinas

If we are talking benchmarks, then North Beach has been the benchmark of the Reserves competition for as long as anyone can remember. Some say your Reserves winning means you have good depth at the club, some say it means you didn’t pick the right League team on the day either, for the Beach Boys it might be the latter. As for TA’s well they will be buoyed by the fact they have both their tops sides in the Grand Final. Momentum is a wonderful thing the TA’s boys would have had some at training and this is too hard to pass up.

LEAGUE
Trinity Aquinas v Curtin University Wesley

Well, the big bad bully boys of Bill Grayden have set the standard right from the word go in season 2023. They have some strong gents, as well as experience right across the park and that will hold then in good stead this weekend, mixed in the fact they also have the outside pace, then they are ready for this weekend. Curtin Uni cannot be counted out however as they have their own strengths to utilise on the wide expanses of Bassendean Oval.  It will be a good contest. Earlier in the finals TA’s won by sheer weight of scoring shots and if that happens again, then it will be a walk over win for them and that is what MRM is going with.

Good luck to all.
