What do we do with Borch, Ss? Try him in the backline or drop him? What about Franchescini? Have a rest in the 2s?

I'm not sure Schofield, Hayden or Kentfield looked ready.

JL, I think Borch is a forward only and has played some really good footy in the past but appears to be bereft of any confidence at the moment, dropping marks that he would normally take and his focus seems astray, so a few weeks in the ressies may be the go, that paves the way for Kentfield to come in as a tall forward/ruck. IMHO when these A graders come back through the ressies they dont always shine, they need the pace of league footy to get them up and running so if they are physically sound I'd bring Schoey, Kentfield and Hayden in this week.
We are at a bit of a crossroads, if we loss to SF we go 2 and 4 and in an 18 game season, it's a long way to come back. I think it will take 10 wins to make the 5 or 9 and a big % which we wont have. If we lose this week we have 12 games left and would need to win 8 of 12.

I think the season is gone. What I’ve seen is pretty ordinary. Will be lucky to pull off a few wins. Berenger didn’t manage to lay one tackle in defence

I think there's a strong argument to swing Borchet into the backline given Beringer isn't having much of an impact and Lockyer likely to miss a few weeks with a hammy. It's worked before with the likes of Cox and Tarrant at Freo and even Clinton Brown at Subi, so give it a try for a couple of games.

Subi are well in the mix, yeah frustrating loss on the weekend for sure.....but the comp is even bar Peel and their Freo connection. The SD boys thought they were cooked before ending their Cl hoodoo....plenty of time for Subi to gather themselves...Schofield, Braut, Hayden and Kentfield will be valuable additions after the state game.

At the start of the season I thought we'd be in the mix too Freez given we finished second after H & A rounds last year and added Clark, Foley and Hayden to cover the losses of Giro, Walters and Zac Clarke but actually think we've gone backwards based on what I've seen already this year.

We lack foot speed but try to make up for it with fast ball movement mainly by handball, but our skills aren't up to that high possession type game plan.  We lack cohesion going into our forward 50 which is down to both forwards not presenting into the right places and the ball carrier choosing to bomb it in instead of kicking to advantage.

We're also slow to react in the coach's box to ever evolving match situations which puts us on the back foot and causes confusion amongst the playing group.

I think we have the personnel to turn it around, but it's going to take buy in from the playing group and solid direction from the coaches otherwise it will be same old story each week of which Subi will show up today.

Only seen the West Perth game and the three scratch matches live this year but haven’t seen much to suggest that we can challenge this year. With our best team in we should be around the mark but without a ruckman we seem to struggle to get first use and get the ball in to our forwards quickly and efficiently. Thought we should have gone harder to recruit a seasoned ruckman after it was obvious Zac Clarke wasn’t going around again and even as a backup for him if he was.

The season was gone when they bullshited to us all that they were waiting on Zac Clarke’s decision when they knew he already had made his decision well before Christmas to retire and they made no effort to replace him

When you look at the big three this year ie EF, EP & Peelmantle, they all have dominant ruckmen as well as elite mids, so no one will get near those three. Not to belittle SF who at 4 n 1 are travelling nicely, but they have only played 1 of the big 3 so far and lost that one, SF will most likely play finals if they can continue their good form against the middle and lower ranked teams.
