DD you're acting just like the PSA schools in your district - trying to manipulate figures to create a false narrative - the PSA schools prevent the less academic students from completing their ATAR so that the school looks better to prospective students parents.

You've under reported Northam's population to strengthen your excuse for Petth's pathetic on-field performance for 45 years. The Shire of Northam is 12000 not 9000. Don't forget to add in the Shires of York 3500, Toodyay 4700, Gin Gin 5500, Dandaragan 3500, Moora 2300, Irwin 4000.and Beverley 2000. Several other shires in your country zone at 500 to 1000...

But none of the above population is factored into the WAFC zones - its based on participation rates in each WAFL zone.

I sincerely hope you are not involved in any capacity with Perth's development pathways, your colts or senior squads but suspect you either are or have been which would explain why Perth are where they are and why you are full of excuses.

TT also worth noting that a good part of the Avon Valley is cashed up rural retreaters living on multi million dollar properties, York and Toodyay in particular, who perhaps like DD so desperately suggests live in the district but board at a PSA school - no shortage of money in a lot of these areas. Then again South Perth, Como Kensington and parts of Vic Park are well healed as well.

Lol how do we benefit from a lot of wealthy retirees going for the country retreat lifestyle in the Avon Valley? Colin Barnett being one of them. Are they raising their grandkids on the farm?

All those Inner city suburbs are very much mixed race and mixed demographic profiles. How many dinky dye Aussie families do think are there with generations of fathers that played Aussie rules football?

It's new growth areas where new builds are that have the highest population per household. Next time I speak to Russell I'll get the raw numbers TT and it will be embarrassing for you. The numbers you've got coming through your 16's, 17's and 18's year in year out is an embarrassment of riches compared to my club and probably a few others.

Only have to look at the football budget and see the number of players on our colts and reserves lists from outside our zones that are surplus to the needs of better credentialed clubs like yours. How many appear on your clubs lists from outside your zones? Let me guess, zero? Because you have an embarrassment of riches.

Most clubs have problems unrelated to their zones. These days people refer to it as 'cultural issues'; religion, ethnicity and so on.

From what I can gather MoM, the last review was conducted in 2019, prior to that 2009. It is stated in the 2019 review that the WAFC tries to conduct reviews every 10 years.

I'll try to upload the 2019 review here which shows every clubs existing zones at the time both metro and country, and then the recommendations. According to an article by John Townsend on 91.3fm in May 2022 those recommendations were implemented in June that year. See link below. Hope this helps.

Can't upload the review it exceeds the file size limit.
