Is Leigh Kohlman returning to Swans? Have heard Alex Howard is attempting a comeback. 

Yep, Kohlmann was announced as an in by the club in its last newsletter. I haven't heard about Howard, I would think it would be tough for him given that he retired 2 years ago and he was battling injury at that stage

Did anyone see the scratch match at Joondalup today? Swans won by 50 points but would be interested in any opinions particularly about the new recruits. I notice that Sydney Stack and Jared Cameron both played in the reserves and Alex Howard played in the league game.

Hi Mike, I went along and it was good to see the depth of talent we have across the ressies and league. Stack, although probably still needing to work on fitness and condition looked keen. Howard played league and looked in great shape. I read somewhere his hip issues have repaired with the time retired. He moved well and his experience will be invaluable. We have strong midfield depth and a potent group of goal kickers. We kicked 20 goals. Last time we kicked 20 was rd 5 2018 and before that, rd 1 2015. It’s only a scratch match of course but I’d rather win it by 8 goals than lose it by 8 goals. Should give the new recruits confidence too. Fingers crossed we can deliver when the real stuff starts!

 

Swans so much quicker, their spread and run speed outwitted the Falcons. Swans were 5 0r 6 players down league level, from what I numbered up WP were about 8 players down. It was your typical scratch match, no injuries that I could see, Clarke outstanding, WP new ruckman, Had a chat with Brock Carter [ruckman from Glenelg] he may just be the dominant ruckman in the wafl.
