Last game of the season for Swans. Have to say that it has been another disappointing year. Plenty to play for on Saturday though. Finish the season on a positive note for a start and also give the other WAFL teams in the finals a bit of a hand by knocking Peel out of the top 3. Also a farewell to Brayden Noble and apparently some other players who are rumoured to be moving on. Would be nice for members to hear something definitive from the club but as BH has said communication this year has been very ordinary.
Apparently its going to be 26 so it will be the warmest footy day since April. Could attract a decent crowd although can't see too many people venturing up from Mandurah.
We definitely owe them one as they smashed us last year in the last round and again earlier this season when a Peel player put Collins out of business for the season.

Swans have not been convincing at Home this season. Currently they have 5 wins from their 9 Home games. Hopefully they give those other plonkers merry hell on Saturday and be good to see Swans finish on 6 from I0. From what I heard Swans are averaging 32 Disposals/ Goal (at Home) whilst the opposition are 30 away. Hopefully all the Swans fans get across to Bassendean in the fine weather for Swans last match for this season.

Nobes has been my second favourite player after Notte for a few years.  He hasn't been brilliant but been good and very servicable to our club especially in the first few years when he topped the goalkicking after we plucked him from amos.  I reckon the harvest is waiting for him in Watheroo.   Thank you Nobes.

I have a civic function to attend to this Saturday which means I will miss the 2023 finale.

Looks like Noble is out of the team, I can only assume he is injured. Disappointing that Swans supporters won't be able to give him a proper send off tomorrow if he is hanging up his boot.
Also Fisher in the team and Palmer dropped to the ressies. At least they have picked Germs this week although I wouldnt be surprised if he leaves too given the way he has been treated this year.

The boys all really put in today against a bigger stronger Peel team with 8 Dockers according to my calculations. Will Brodie in particular should be looking for another AFL club if the Dockers won't play him.
Swans won the possession count and were inside forward 50 more often but again the poor skills by hand and foot cost us at crucial moments. Tom Edwards came off injured and Kemp was hobbling around in the last quarter in what was supposedly his last game for the club, so all that didn't help
I really think that a WAFL team with a bit of foot speed would have Peel covered in finals, particularly on a fine day. At times Swans had them struggling with their run and a better team could make them pay on the scoreboard. Unfortunately East Perth lost today so Peel have a double chance.

Yet another disappointing season on the field 8-10 and 7th place, 2 wins less than last year and another place lower on the ladder with our forward line of today virtually having to all be replaced.
Time for the club to finally get serious about winning a League premiership and put the resources in to that rather than all the other off field stuff it seems to put all its time and effort in to these days.
A league flag not a pride one!
I for one have totally had enough of the mediocrity that has been prevalent at this club for most of the last 30 years!

Good point on the forward line - only Edwards left who can kick a goal
Effort was good today but no system again
Nothing again from the club on who is going but looks like most of the vics going home including Fish.
McLachlan a good pick up and staying
